Gokyo Lakes and Everest Base Camp
The Everest region (Solo Khumbu) is the most popular trekking region in the Himalaya. For good reason. It has comfortable guesthouses, trails, and views of the largest mountains in the world. Our route will start with several days on the regular route to Everest Base Camp before diverging to Gokyo Lakes to acclimatize, ascend Gokyo Ri, cross Cho La, and then rejoining the route to Everest Base Camp.
The Solo Khumbu Three Passes trek is a great option that can avoid Everest Bast Camp if you want. This challenging route crosses Renjo La (5,340 m), Cho La (5,420 m), and Kongma La (5,535 m).
